Microsoft has just announced the release of Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, Professional and Home editions. This service pack really focuses on networking and security fixes, more importantly, the installation is quite easy and very handy for the IT pro or administrator of an organisation.

The greatest improvement to notice is the reduction in size, they have lost noticable amounts in height and depth, without losing screen size. The joystick and keypad have also been changed, which may come as an improvement in some people's eyes in regards to previous versions.

HP has finally listened to market trends and will bring out a PDA/phone in one in the near future. The latest offering from the market giants, has all the wireless fruit, including GSM/GPRS, Bluetooth and WLAN, as well as built in VGA camera and a handy snap in keyboard for quick data entry.

Running off a 1510 ARM based 200Mhz processor, this certainly isn't the fastest on the market, however users will benefit from extended Battery life. Other benefits include quad band GSM, 64MB RAM and ROM. We should expect to see these towards November 2004.
